Turkish Meeting

posted Feb 14, 2014, 12:46 AM by ΕΥΔΟΞΙΑ ΛΟΓΑΡΑ   [ updated Feb 14, 2014, 1:33 AM ]

The 4th Comenius Meeting took place at Turkey- Istanbul from 02.06.2013 to 06.06.2013.

The Greeks participated with a team of four persons, all women: Mrs Evie Logara, Mrs Maria Kalaitzidou, Mrs Evie Pliari and Mrs Kragiopulou Dimitra.

The meeting’s reality was higher than our expectations were.

The school program of the Opening “Welcome” night with the school music orchestra and the traditional dances created a very warm ambiance for all of us.

The first day our hosts (οικοδεσπότες) surprised us by presenting a Tango dance in which participated the 2nd’s Grade pupils. Charming!!!

The hospitality behalf the school Director, the school staff aw well as behalf the parent’s association was warm, friendly and full of care.

The work sessions with the partners’ delegations –officially and officiency ανεπίσημα- provided to us a lot of information about the school systems as well as the difficulties all of us – more or less- have to huddle.

The Cultural program at Turkey organized by our hosts was very interesting from every point of view.

Visiting sites such as AyiaSofia, Sultan Ahmet, Traditional markets (Kapali çarsi) make us being a little more familiar to the Turkish “way of life”.

The entertainment part was also very important and everyone has had a wonderful time.

A sea trip at Bosporus Sea and a daily trip to the Black Sea seaside gave us the opportunity to relax, to know us better and talk a lot about the educational systems of our countries.

We came back home with the best memories and the deep wish to visit again this charming place called Istanbul.

Thanks again…and we are waiting to respond (give back) the warm and full of care Turkish hospitality.
